The Protected Geographical Indication (IGP) “Carciofo di Paestum” was recognized within the meaning of Reg. EC no. 2081/92, with Regulation (EC) no. 465/2004 (published in the OJ no. L 77 of 13 March 2004). Registration on the national register of protected designations and geographical indications occurred with ministerial provision of 23.03.04, published in the Official Journal of the Italian Republic no. 83 of 8.04.04, together with the production specifications and summary (already published in the OJ together with the above mentioned Reg. 465/04).
The Consortium for the Protection of the Paestum Artichoke IGP was recognized by the Decree of the President of the Italian Republic of 22 November 2012, published in the Official Journal number 286 of 7 December 2012. Located in Eboli (SA) in Via Bagnolo San Vito.
